The brake is received.  The work scope is identified.  A work order package is made up according to manual requirements and details are entered into our computer system.  The work order is issued.

The brake is disassembled and cleaned.  Rotors are weighed and measured for minimum weight and thickness.  Discs are straightened as needed.  The housing, torque tube, pressure plate and stationary discs are media blasted after which they are inspected (see NDT tours) as per the manual.  The housing is coated with epoxy paint and baked.

In sub-assembly the pressure plate, torque tube and stationary discs are repadded and the heat stack is checked for minimum height.

During final assembly, the housing and heat stack are assembled and torqued to specs and the adjusters set, torqued and locked.
